I've never heard it stated so strongly from a person with some authority and information on the matter.

Lewis did give the "OK" to Bottas coming on board if I remember. It's natural to speak to the number 1 driver about these things. What doesn't happen is that Lewis doesn't chose the driver and has little power to reject a driver on unreasonable grounds.

Lewis will never push Valterri away, but he will naturally "OK" Russell and I don't see why not.

I`m not sure if anybody saw this video from motorsport.tv, in which they said at 4:34 min that the second PU from Merc has had some improvement over the interaction between ICE and ERS, presumably they are able now to harvest more electric power into the batteries : https://motorsport.tv/embed/7xMhHnC4-ba ... econd-pole

On the same note, Matt Somerfield said on Missed Apex that Honda here in France introduced their 2nd PU spec. , which was slightly detuned just to justify an improvement over the PU with the reason of safety measures have to be applied ...

Not sure I understand. Honda has detuned Spec 2 due to reliability concerns?

Potentially lower maximum power output, but a higher amount of power output when in a sustaining mode.

Why on earth would you swap the chassis between drivers. It's as ridiculous as when they decided to swap the garage engineers.

You can't be doing some sort of equality BS when your behind in the championship and have one average driver and one 7 times champion who can actually bring home the season.

Merc said it was pre-planned as part of the rotation to keep the Chassis' at similar mileage.

It also might be to confirm if there are issues with it. Better to get a second opinion first before potentially having to produce another chassis.
