I expect STR to be at similar placing in their integration timeline. RBR will be very helpful in the process, as their 2019 chassis will probably go through the same process.
1 - You're off topic
2 - You're uninformed https://www.f1technical.net/news/21470? ... e6b82ae0ec
3 - I'm tired of you Honda people just trying say shiit just cause it makes you feel better.

Wow. I'm quite unsure how to respond to such ridiculousness.

Like it or not, there is zero way to separate the STR/McL swap, as they are a measurable benchmark.

I suggest you crawl back into your safe space.

Way too much off topic mate! I heard MCL use much ballast in 2017, so i expect change in engine weight balance is not gonna affect them so much compared to STR. In the beginning of 2017 MCL afraid of running of ballast so i think their chassis have a decent buffer to accomodate halo and weight shift from rear mguh

Correct, off topic. There is a speculation thread about the new Mclaren car for 2018, this is the team topic.

This is a hard test for Mclaren as Alo had said earlier because this car shows many races can win with renault PU. As you know there are also cars shows that you can be a midpack car with renault PU

With RB as a benchmark, we'll see just how good the Mclaren team is.

Any chance Renault makes McLaren run Nissan branded Renault engines? McLaren road car engines are all based on a Nissan engine so now they could come around full circle.

Or better yet Datsun.

The FIA entry list it's already out, the team is named "McLaren F1 Team" and the engine supplier is "Renault".

It was a joke, sorry. On a more serious note, Renault claims to have made a one second per lap improvement on their power unit from the end of 2016 to the end of 2017, and most of this was done through software optimization, 2018 then was reserved for major hardware upgrades that they never got around to installing in the 2017 PU. 2018 power unit could be closer than it's ever been to Ferrari or Mercedes, I know McLaren can produce a very good car, at least as good as Ferrari from a purely chassis standpoint. McLaren really need to find good tech partners, at the very least, otherwise it won't be easy for them to keep developing the car, McLaren's owners are very wealthy but I don't think they can fund the team indefinitely.

I think that when you look at the top 3 from 2017, Merc had the weakest Chassis. So they're beatable if you can get close enough with the PU, you can win. You don't need to have a equal or better PU.

So you are saying if someone offer Mclaren for title sponsorship Mclaren will not accept it?
What spectrum you are talking about? Ferrari also selling cars. Mersedes too? It seems that you feel you have to defend whatever Mclaren did.
wow dude, you are a trip.

red bull isnt your normal title sponsor, since the owner of the drink company also owns the team, other than red bull, which cant even be compared by any logic, who else has a title sponsor these days? williams is the only team that people actually call by their sponsor sometimes (williams martini). the truth is exactly what ZB stated, title sponsors in the "old sense" arent very common these days. to answer your "question" (if thats what you call it) everything has a price.

so what are you harping on man? you act like a little kid

Good news, I guess the next step is crash testing the new HALO chassis and then onward to the preseason testing
