It's really interesting how interlinked development is. The VTT is fed data from the actual racing car on track, which then feeds the simulator model, which leads to chassis developments, which again feed the VTT. The simulator model is used in the 'driver in the loop' simulator, which trains the racing driver, which again feeds into and helps develop the simulation model, which is tied up in the previously mentioned loop.

That cycle is limited by the teams processing powers. It's going to be really interesting given how computation is now taking another big step forward in the near future. The large chip makers(only 2 consumer grade silicon chip manufacturers on earth) are now perfecting their 7nm process nodes for consumer grade hardware. This is half the size of current conventional process nodes (14nm). Transistor density and computational power is going to keep increasing, to the point the current teraflop limits will seem downright draconian based on the parallel processing revolution that's about to take place.
Only AMD has perfected 7nm. Intel is stuck at "barely" 10nm. Only Qualcomm has 7nm outside AMD, and it's not fully scalable yet. Actually, it's why those 2 anchor my stock portfolio..😏😏

When you can stick 4 of these in a single rack server, you can quickly reach crazy horsepower for simulation.

You forgot to mention Nvidia has announced a 7nm and they already are leaders in AI distributed computation. Would be great to see Nvidia involvement.
That brings up an interesting point, how would they cost cap cloud computing? Imagine thousands of Red Bull Honda F1 fans donating their computation power to help develop the car, talk about a "lend me your energy" DBZ moment.
The height of cultivation is really nothing special. It is merely simplicity; the ability to express the utmost with the minimum. Mr.Lee

Hm...do you think cloud computing would be unlimited? CFD time / computation is restricted by the regulations. But is it only the team's own supercomputer capacity what's restricted?
What would happen if they have something like "mining bit coins" (or mining CFD- this-and-that ;-) ) from the community.

Well Lio007, did you use the F150 code that I give you, where you asked for?
Not yet, will do it in the next couple of days.

I wonder if multiple codes can be used again 8) . I remember earlier in the year some users used a F1TV50, F1TV25,... in the end the subscription was only a few €. But this bug was fixed after a couple of hours IIRC, therefore I can't imagine it would work again :)
And now it's OT a bit too much 🙊

It seems that today the offer is no longer valid. Good luck next time.

According to the Telegraaf, Max Verstappen has a different personal trainer from 2020 onwards.

Because the private circumstances of the Brit [Jake] have changed, Max Verstappen will be working
with another personal trainer for the first time starting next year - his sixth season in Formula 1.
The collaboration with Jake Aliker has ended in good mutual consultation.
Will Jake return from Monaco to England, where he will soon get married?

Japanese seems to take great pride in Honda role in f1 . Similar videos were made during their stint with Mclaren. Germanys can learn a thing or two their enthusiasm of Mercedes and anything f1 related is underwhelming.

Perhaps it's because the Mercedes team is British. It's German in name only really.
Turbo says "Dumpster sounds so much more classy. It's the diamond of the cesspools." oh, and "The Dutch fans are drunk. Maybe"

Given both the power plant and chassis is designed in the UK, can you blame German Mercedes-Benz enthusiasts for being apathetic about the F1 program?

Agreed. Companies have gotten so global now that Honda probably has more non Japanese employees than it does Japanese.

I wish Honda would put these videos out with subtitles for their western fans. I'm going to email them 😆

Is there a NHK website link on this special?
