Story throughout the race... Losing time in S1 and gaining in S2 work a net 0 gain on Perez

I think considering how the race went with Sainz being so unlucky 2 less points from RP and the 4 from Renault make it a good defence.

Decent damage limitation after a difficult weekend.

Yeah, still 3rd with a decent points cushion.

Makes me wonder what could Sainz have done if he had managed all those passes.

Considering the pace shown by the car, and the bizarre , interrupted, luck of the draw kind of race... that's probably not a bad result points-wise even if it was a little frustrating to watch.

And what would happen if we hadn't had all of those crashes in front and behind us to get us up to 6th?

Carlos aside, we have done extremely well out of today.

Don't bite the hand of luck that feeds you.

If my calculations are correct we are 13 from RP and 22 from Renault. I don't even count Ferrari as they seem to have given up.

After what seemed a pretty bad weekend for the team... Finishing P6 and not losing a huge amount of points to Renault and RP is a good result.

Happy for Albon! First podium in F1 (unbelievable that Lando got his before him in what is still a midfield car) and thankfully he took P3 from Daniel, which helps in the WCC.

We dodged a bullet here... Now some deserved rest for the team and hoping for a better weekend in a couple of weeks.

I am sure that he would have finished in the points, but he would have struggled as Lando did with Sector 1... But, it’s impossible to tell what may have happened (I guess you can run any race outcome you want in your imagination).

The real bad luck today was starting on the wrong side of the track on every restart... It always placed Lando outside of the tow towards turn 1.

Well Sainz might have been 4th and Norris might have been 8th. We have done well today considering what happened. Good damage limitation at the end of the day. We won't really know at the end of the day.

I am starting to see a pattern here...we used to have this questions about another spanish driver....Lando is quick enough by himself that he manages to pull out the potential from the car. Mugello was not the best track, like Silverstone wasnt but loss of points was near minimal.

He did great job and Carlos was unlucky jet again...hopefully he rebounds back strong again.
If i would get the money to start my own F1 team, i would revive Arrows
