I’m pretty surprised... Although, it was expected that they were going to make some gains, it’s amazing how they keep developing it.

With Toto open to an engine freeze for 2022, they must be confident in what they have in store and believe it’ll keep them at the front. So while still just a rumour, this one could have legs.
Q: (Stefano Mancini – La Stampa) Kimi, will you help Vettel to win his championship this year?
Kimi Raikkonen: I can only drive one car, obviously.

Doubt those would be performance related. Maybe its just reinforcement.

That’s what I’m thinking also.

Encouraging that the new front wing is back... I had concerns that it didn’t work as expected and that’s why they were back to old spec.

Are the 2 little vanes on each side, under the wing closer together on the bottom wing compared to the top one?

Actually the bottom wing is the same one they ran in Portimao so nevermind

Is it just me or do the colours seem different?

The colours are the same, it`s just the bottom getting less light because it`s under the other. I`ve noticed in the cycling the Bahrain McLaren team jerseys/bikes look a different shade of papaya in only slightly changing light conditions!

They switched wings cause they switch bargeboards. They work together. Now why they switched bargeboards, I don't know behyond that the old ones worked better. Is it because they needed to adjust something or other piece coming later on that will make the whole package work together, I don't know.

The bargeboards are very sensitive, a few mm can make a big difference. Everything has to be placed very precisely.

This is something McLaren fans know very well but thanks for reminding us.
