Think it's would be good for Alpine.

I think Otmar has been somewhat at odds with the Strolls since they took over. I have no facts to back that up. I think something like the replacement of Perez with Vettel had little input from Otmar. It was trust upon him. It's kind of crazy to have a team principle having little input on both team drivers.

With regards to the rumor... I'm not sure if this is just BS, Otmar leaving before the axe, or Otmar just leaving cause he's had enough of the moves that have force his hand and wants to go to a place he'll have more input.

I don't think Whitmarch is a candidate to replace Otmar at AMR.

He has not been in the 'limelight' much lately has he? go back 2 years and he was on all the TV interviews and buttonholes, we sometimes do not see him during a weekend now. Smoke or fire?

He was on sky telecast a few races ago. We seem to see Toto and Horner all the time. The rest, Binotto, Seidl, Tost we don't see alot of.

Autosport reporting the same -

Seems to be a done deal. He was also instrumental in getting Vettel so lets see if anything change their.

Szafnauer added: “In trying to get some of that downforce back, we also ended up with a car that was a bit draggier than we used to have in the past.

“At some circuits, a bit of extra drag doesn’t manifest itself into a big lap time deficit. But at other circuits it does. So that’s why we’ve been a little bit up and down this season.”
Always good to remember, lads. Hopefully, the mean green machine will show some sparks in 2022 again.

I feel this whole Aston Martin changup is the beginning of a great disaster . Given the budget and lineup, Force India always performed a step or two above the expectation.

I hope they can use the higher budget and keep that efficiency of development they used to have.

Otmar, knew before last race he isn't going to be at AM in 2022.

Finally, AM took a call on Otmar.Step in the right direction.
He is neither a taskmaster nor a visionary; more or less like a PR person.

Wasn't expecting such a move. Specially just before the new regulations. Let's see what they are up to...

I think Otmar is more an organising/business sort of guy, so should not affect the car being ready, more prepping for next year.
