How was it now again, have Ferrari a better car?

They have a faster car. No point in denying that since McLaren has been beaten every qualifying session. But they eat their tires like crazy on the race, so they can't live up to the car's potential. Same happened in Portugal.

I don't think that means they have a faster car. They could be setting up for quali. Race pace is what matters

Is it the faster car though? Usually the faster car is the one that gets more points in the race. The championship positions usually speak for themselves to who is the faster car.

Was a bit of squeaky bum time at the end with Daniel, but a great result, he made some decisive moves today. +18 points today, back in P3, 16 points ahead.

18 points with such a tight Championship is Huge!

...what a lot of us thought would be a bad race turned out to be one of our best this year! Ric finally showing up PLUS ferrari with zero pts! 16pt lead in the constructors!

Looks like updates helped race pace and tire management. Hope they work even better in the next couple of races!

He was decent today. Lando had the better strategy so the gap between them at the end is not representative. Hopefully he keeps this up into Austria. We need both drivers right up there when Ferrari has off-days like this.

Seem mclarens continue use of more df payed off, ferrari recently had good help from running less df and still keeping the tires alive, this time it didnt pay off for them, and mclaren with great race pace all the way through, finally

Great race by both NOR and RIC today. We showed yet again that our race pace & tyre menagment is quite better than our performance in qualy so overall I'm very very pleased with todays result. Ferrari did not score any points so a big win for us today.

Lets see, they said that many times and seldom materialized, very dissapointed in this team right now, incredible ferrari where able to pass mclaren and be in the position we wanted to be in, their car just seem overall better and easy to hit the setup sweetsport while mclaren dont seem to have any real strengths at all

Ferrari is going to be a big challenge in Austria, higher altitude means high drag cars will have better straight line speed.

Btw we forgot to mention the pitstops, great work by the team. Ricciardo had a 2.3s pitstop when undercutting. Gasly did a 3.1s.

Another thing to note is that this makes another race with Lando in the points… His run of point finishing races continues! If I’m not wrong, he has also finished higher than his starting position in every race this year
