I read about this on Autosport. I would have made more of an effort to watch it if I had known before hand-D'oh.

You can have a look at Badoer on the special podium at Turin Olympic Stadium, with the Olympic insignia on his Ferrari below. The whole show started with a very impressive Pit Stop, where the Ferrari pit crew mounted tyres on Badoer's car. Watch Eurosport for a replay...

Where's the Marlboro sponsor
Bring back wider rear wings, V10s, and tobacco advertisements

Don't trust Eurosport for anything. I am sick of being messed around with WTCC and WRC coverage.

What do you all think about the Ceremony, did you like it ?
Personally I thought that the part about the Renaissance and Baroque was too long and boring, besides that it was quite spectacular with Ferrari’s exhibition as a last minute surprise (apparently it wasn’t present in the general test the previous night).

Let’s hope we can enjoy fair and exciting games for the next couple of weeks !!

BTW, congratulations to Deneriaz for the gold in the Men’s Downhill, amazing performance ! After “poor” results by Mayer, Miller and particularly Rahlves (sp ??) I was a bit worried that it could be because of deteriorating conditions of the snow and that would have been a pity, but since the guy with number 30 won that wasn’t apparently the case.

Advertising is absolutely forbidden at Olympics games, a team (don’t remember which one) was even forced to change the uniforms for the parade because the name of the technical sponsor (the only sponsor that is tolerated as long as isn’t particularly visible) was too big. If you look at the pic of the F2005 you’ll notice that there wasn’t even the “Bridgestone Potenza” on the wheels.

Speaking of Winter Olympics, Top Gear did a Winter Olymipcs Special at 9:10pm on Sunday here in the UK.

They basically ran some winter olympic events but with cars:

They showed their Mitsubishi Evo VI vs. Bobsleigh again
They played Ice Hockey with 10 new Suzuki Swifts
They speed-skated with a new Jaguar XK8
They tried ski-jumping....with a Rocket propelled Mini
Oh and Stig tried ski-jump with a Snow-Mobile!

Was great...anyone else see it?

I sat through it with my son; both giggling like a couple of school-girls. Why is it that women just don't understand?
