I'm a sucker for a well proportioned car, and to my eyes it doesn't get much better than this. Some absolute stunning photos here, I've saved them all incase I ever get the change to make a 3D model of it, as it would be some incredible reference.

Here's a brutal beauty that packs a few more cubes, & its powered by a DOHC 4V W12..

That photo says so much, and mainly about doing all that on those tyres.

That brings to my mind something Angel Nieto (RIP) said when someone asked him about what are main differences between his era, and modern bikes. People was expecting some coment about power, chassis, speed.... but he said unquestionably, tires are the part wich have improved more drastically.

He said current tires for production bikes, those we all use daily, are light years ahead of those he used when racing, let alone current competition tires :o

He literally said his era tires were like wood, so little grip... so when you remember the tracks they did race in, with wood tires...   They were BRAVE

Also with due apologies for running off on Andre's tangent.. here's a quick apropos comment,
..currently, historic/classic racing is being distorted by the advent of very effective modern tyre-tech, enabling the heavy-powerful machines - which were beaten over race-distance - back in the day, by lighter, better handling, yet less-powerful pukka/pursang racers - to nowadays enforce their power-speed advantages - & thus to achieve race-winning performance - albeit, quite anachronistically.

Take another look at that picture - he isn't even on his tires!

great post, strad. yes, looks fantastic.

would be amazing to see a modern version of that stuff. infinity recently did something, looked great.
but these are much cooler, especially that napier.

they essentially look like ww2 dogfight planes (like spitfires) without the canopy, tail, wings and propellor.

Had looked at it that way but I think you hit the nail on the head.
Could that be because of the influence of those airplanes on design?

I've always had a special place in my heart for the GT350-H. They only produced 100 with manual transmissions, and they only came in black.

I'd much rather have my GT500 back. Although it would have looked better in black than white with blue stripes.
I would imagine most would have noticed that most all my vehicles are black and chrome.
I did have a 63½ R code Galaxie that was one of the most beautiful Maroons I have ever seen.
