Wow! You must have a lot of patience Paul!

Very impressive work.

Perhaps you could create a thread somewhere on F1Technical to post pictures updates etc?

Hello Guys!

Now i have a big Problem. The shape of the front part cooling air intake is wrong. I don't know what exactly went wrong. But i think, that the shape of the lower section of the intake should be so narrow as it should be much earlier than the upper section. Now I'm a little bit helpless.
Here a few pictures:

By the way I made the two rear wing end plates. The two cans are interchanged, because the RB cola's writing on a can looks at the other side, than it looks at the RB6. But I don't care about that. Maybe nobody would have recognized this.

Now, i took the upper Section of the Underbody away, and put anew one at the car. Now i hope, that the shape of the side boxes will be correct.

I hope, later i don't see the grain from this action :| .

I also work a little bit at the rear wing. It's almost finished. Only the screws and the RB- Logo are missing.

I made the F-Duct Version past Hungary. The front wing is in the Silverstone version - that means, the car will be in the modus between Hungary an Japan.

Later the rear wing will stand on the diffuser.

Where is the fire extinuisher placed in a modern Formula 1 car (ecpesially the RB6)?
I have an assiciation, that it could be in the left side pod under the radiator.
In the right hand side pot is the ECU and in the left hand? Maybe the extinguisher.

Does somebody know anything about that?

I beleive extinguishers need to be mounted inside the cockpit area. Although I haven't seen the Red Bull position, they tend to be either mounted in the "V" under the drivers knees or to the side of the seat.

I think Scarbs is correct.

There is provision in the rules to have more then one extingusher bottle so placing
it at both sides of the seat would be possible.
While I can´t speak for F1, the position Scarbs mentioned (under the drivers knees in front of the seat) is very common/popular in single seater race cars.

that is the bottle/system in principle as used by BMW-Sauber some years ago.

great work Paul =D> =D> - very impressive

as for the fire extinguisher position, here a photo from a Honda.
I know, it does not help you directly, but I hope it helps to get
an idea of a possible shape and location.
