Made the trip down to bike week a few times in the late 80's, a friend was racing in the 200 and I was on the pit crew, saw Rainey win 87, Schwantz win 88 and John Ashmead in 89, also met U2 drummer Larry Mullen the same year,
Always one of my favorite bike races of the year. to see the bikes on the banking in person is something every bike fan should see live.
