What track?

VW ID R is configured with more downforce than needed at starting line to keep decent DF at finish line (thinner air), so I guess at any other track at more common altitudes it may be slow, but if compared at Mexico it may be fast...

This will be another never ending discussion I´m afraid

I have a hard time imagining a car that has roughly twice the power, weighs 200kg less and has ~5 years of development time is slower than the VW which they claim was the result of 6 months of development.

These are the three most developed formula libre track cars of the current era, hence the comparison. I think the track versions of the Valkyrie might have the potential to be lighter and more powerful than the 919 Evo. Would not be surprised to see prepped versions of it contesting the 'ring and Spa records.

Valkyrie AMR Pro
~1130 HP (road version claimed 1130 hp)
<1030 kg (road version claimed 1030 kg)

919 Evo
1160 hp
849 kg (888 kg including driver ballast)

The ID R probably better suited to Goodwood, Tsukuba, Pikes Peak.

I think claims for valkyrie should be taken with a pinch of salt until it is actually released.
