Max svsa length

Post

Formula student:
Is there a maximum svsa length? I have my anti-features as I want for the front suspension but my IC in side view is located at approx 7000 mm, is that a bad thing? because like this I got an anti-dive of 12,8% and anti-lift of 0,1% (is a 4WD so there is also front drive).
Thanks for your time.

The side view vsa length is a practically useless number to look at. If your antis are what you want then the IC location doesn't matter.

Be careful though - is the 4WD using hub motors or via a driveshaft? Because the anti effect under acceleration is calculated differently for both cases.

How are you calculating the anti geometry by the way? There are a lot of incorrect ways of doing this...

I calculate them via Susprog3D, and in this program I can put that my motors are outboard or inboard, in this case is outboard(inwheel motors).
Thanks for your reply
