Don't think in Bergers case it would do anything.....cause it would happen in any case, the steering arm would be bent in any case. Probably it would withstand the impact but would bent slightly anyway.

I know Monstro, I was just referring to an extreme situation, it was an hyperbole, you know, Dyneema is used also for bullet-proof jacket... the camera was basically a big bullet... not exactly the best joke ever but the fact that I see the funny side of that situation is a progress, at the time I wasn’t surely laughing...

the point is ,in an event that overstresses the part in a maybeunusual direction the failure would happen but not as sudden and the driver has that little bit more time to come to a safe halt.and maybe the part would withstand some more wheelbanging as well....
