Car weights integrated in Qualifying news

Post

I wanted to ask if it´s possible to add the car weights as an update to the common qualifying news, so that you got the lap times in comparison with the fia declared car weights and you dont have to toggle between 2 news back and forward.

btw, shouldn´t Kimi be on pole with his reported 1:19.010 instead of Vettel with his 1:19.509 in your quali news?
Who finds the error?

cheers

Re: Car weights integrated in Qualifying news

Hi,
sorry for the delayed reply.

The logical explanation for it being 2 news items is the time difference by which they come available. We put the qualifying results up immediately at the end of the session and so publish the news. Only 3 hours later - approximately - the car weights are published by the FIA, hence we make a different item.

Personally I think that is ok, especially because you have at the bottom of the news page a list of news items that have appeared on the same day, so you can easily find it back. Another way would be to go to the Grand Prix page (eg. http://www.f1technical.net/f1db/events/1117) and search in the related news list.
