Sainz bought his first car, a Ferrari 812 Competizione. 😍 He drove a Golf since he was 18 years old. Got it from his parents.
Totday was THE day!!

Vasseur: "For me the goal is not to be in Ferrari but to win."
The new Ferrari Team Principal chooses an aggressive approach and doesn't hide. Frederic Vasseur announces that the clear objective for Ferrari is to win again. His professional goal has not been achieved by arriving at Ferrari, but we need to win. The new boss also made a point about the work being done at the factory, focusing a lot on the work done on the reliability of the Power Unit, then unveiling the day of the filming on which the new car (project 675) will take to the track .
Presentation on 14/02 with the real 675 then the day after immediately on the track for the first filming day
Vasseur: "I can't go into Ferrari, which finished second last year, and say that the goal is to finish fifth. The objective is very clear: we have to win, there is no other option"
Vasseur: "What could be improved was definitely the reliability of the Power Unit. So far, on dynamic dynos it seems to be good but we will have to wait until we are on track to confirm this. In addition to waiting even after Bahrain because the first problems last year we had around Miami, or so. However for now it is under control."
Vasseur: “The strategy question has been put on the table and we have a few weeks to make decisions. The most important thing is not the individual but the group behind it. You know very well that it's not a person pushing a button, often it's more of a structure and whether this is supportive or not. I must first of all understand what was or what were the problems in the past behind the mistakes made. In short, understand what kind of mistakes have been made before making any decision that cannot only concern the person in charge."

Man i like Fred. Clear concise goals and statements. Maybe this could work for them.

It definitely is refreshing to see the conversations coming form him compared to what we usually get from Ferrari, but lets wait and see... he's been there less than a month and the season hasn't even turned a wheel yet. Anyway, the groundwork this year has all been set effectively by Binotto... so if this is a much more successful campaign, he'll still be the one to thank for the most part.

Keep in mind Vasseur, whilst no doubt having to make tough decisions in the past at Renault and Sauber, these effects will be felt a lot more for Ferrari, especially if it now involves in deciding the Championship.

Troubling direction Fred Vasseur has chosen to take. This implies atleast in public that the car development will try to satisfy both drivers. No public vote of confidence for leclerks speed and achievements to support him with a car and team built around his campaign.

The car can't be developed to be as fast as possible and suit one driver more at the same time. It's either one or the other.

As for bringing team around Leclerc, no need for that either, he's faster on merit. Finally, team orders indeed aren't needed from the first race. They are needed 2-3 times over a season and always end up bringing the team a better overall result.

Overall, feel almost like reading Horner in early 2021. Still even at the end of 2022 he was full of it about equal opportunity for Checco and Max

I wonder if Sainz Sr demanded equality clause for Jr's contract
And they call it a stall. A STALL!
