Lance is again looking lackluster; hope he will pull up by quali
Apparently he's one tenth behind Fernando in the long runs. Pedro DLR said he expects Lance will bring points from now on.
Alonso long run was completely --- by traffic...
He also had to do a short pitstop which I have no idea what was it for.

So, how are the long runs compared to Red Bull and others? Is there any hope for something better, assuming that Aston's low deg can be a very strong advantage in Barcelona?

Looks good for a possible P2 but Verstappen is too far ahead I'd say.

No better than ferrari's or Perez and max is far clear. But p2 seems wide open here as Perez is far behind max in pace.

Not sure what happened...it was really quiet at the end between Alonso and the engineer(2 to 3 laps from the end). Then the Engineer said .."Try Flow 3" or something like that. Little over a minute later. Alonso Responds ..."That was good, thanks for that. Worked really well. that's goes back to what we were talking about on Thursday."

Not sure what hey found or even if it wasn't a bluff. It sure was interesting though.

Sorry it was "Try Shape 3" and it was just before going into the turns 1 and 2. Alonso said "good Call" after he came out of turn 3..

haha thats cool. i was just being a smarta$$. i hope its a major breakthrough in something speed related though. i wonder if it could be something to do with the way he took the corner, but given that they "discussed it on thursday" its hard to say

My money is something to do with traction coming out of 1 and 3, 2 is flat out after you've slowed down for 1..

I heard the "shape 3" also and the whole conversation with his engineer and i was curious what it meant.
After researching a bit and watching the onboard more closely to figure out what exactly Alonso did on his steering wheel for the "Shape 3", I think it had to do with Engine Braking/Torque.

Not 100% sure, but that's what i think.
