2025 betting odds for teams and drivers

Post

I just looked up the odds for the 2025 drivers and team championships, and it is interesting. They have Lando and Max closer than I expected. They have Lewis quite a bit lower than Charles, and Oscar, wow, a whopping +700 from Lando. Ouch. That should motivate the chap I'd say. Good. I want a duke fest championship this year. They are giving Bearman the same odds as Stroll, which is just sad but true for daddy's boy. lol. Actually, I would take Bearman over Stroll if I had to choose between only those two guys. And holy smokes, +2000 for Russell? I mean, I don't expect him to win, but good grief, +2000 odds? Brutal.

They got McLaren and Ferrari in basically a dead heat. I gotta say I think the Red Bull odds at +450 shows zero confidence from the odds makers, and yet I would not be surprised if Red Bull came out swinging with some speed. You never know. With Checo now gone and a likely more balanced Liam whom will do as told with no resistance, they will have a better team showing to say the very least. With a much better driver than Checo (my god I hope so), I think Red Bull have better odds than +450. Maybe more like 350 or 300. I also think Merc at +900 is maybe the dark horse of both lists. I know, I know, they likely will be still behind, but George will be ON FIRE to win and try and save a Merc ride for 2026, and young boy Antonelli will not know any fear, and will want to live up to expectations. I mean, he looks like Senna, yanno?? :) Well anything can happen in F1. Just consider what happened in 2009. Speaking of which, 2009 and last year are supreme examples of how important it will be to get out of the gate sprinting in 2025. Whoever can press right from Q1 race one and bags some wins, will have such a huge advantage this year. I am expecting a duke fest with VERY closely matched cars...well at least until the TD comes into effect. #-o

It will be interesting to see how much testing changes these odds, and then after the first race. Though I am not a gambling man, I do find it interesting what the odds makers think.

Antonelli is a complete unknown at this level. The odds of Mercedes catching up on pace AND Antonelli performing well enough to clinch are fair enough.

I think Piastri and Norris odds are also reasonable because there was a significant gap in their performance overall which was made to look smaller by a media blitz propping up Piastri during a 5-6 race period where Norris had bad luck and was also not risking DNFs due to title hopes being alive.
