Culpability of authorities, FIA in point

Culpability of authorities, FIA in point

Well firstly, there isn't any culpability, but maybe there should be better mechanisms in place to ensure that progress is not inhibited.
i say inhibited because from reading F1 rules it is very clear that they could be looked at as paradoxical.
On the one hand they have made the great move to engine parameters that include efficiencies and that has a great trade off for road engines.
But on the other hand you can see from the demeanor of the rules they are roadblocking to stop 'cheating' whereas if they included limits that are paramount to the real world, such as cost and health, leaving everything else free we would see far better engines.
i would like to see some opinions from the actual engineers involved, with no provisions.
