What about Force India? They were openly saying they were struggling with the weight of the halo so maybe they've now gone too light and not strong enough so are now struggling to find that middle ground?
all crashtests done said in interview by Otmar Szafnauer of FI on 28.01.

as I read the motorsport.it article on Williams, they alledgedly changed the way of manufacturing the car (monocoque?)... so it might be related to that, ( beeing so late and only able to rcentrly pass the tests).. I think weightsaving is the driver there.
Cheers. Good to hear they've both passed at least.

Turned down the chance to meet Vettel at Silverstone in 2007. He was a test driver at the time and I didn't think it was worth queuing!! 🤦🏻‍♂️

You're my hero.

Separately, is there a logic to when the teams want to unveil their cars? I understand going first and last for effect, but don't really understand the thinking beyond that. Given how thought out, possibly overthought, everything is - I suspect there's a rationale to all of this... even getting the car built doesn't make 100% sense, since Williams just unveil a fantastic photoshop of a car every year.

was there actually car unveils 'in the old' days?

i know it's been around for some time, but i can't remember that in the days of mansell, senna, etc. there was anything but some photoshoot sessions, the drivers standing next to the car, usually on the actual test track. sometimes with the responsible crew for it alongside it. not neccesarily an unveil day in the modern sense of the word.

wasn't it more or less what was seen on the test track, and finally in melbourne?

Back then F1 wasn't big business as it is today, everything is about money, launches create hype and PR.
