The Formula One teams and the FIA have today been informed about the set of rule changes that F1 aims to implement in 2021, a year when the sports aims to resolve some of its long standing issues, including team competitiveness and on-track action.
That cartoon car in Gruner's twit thingy won't be built, that's for sure. The airflow off the sidepods would be rubbish and ruin diffuser efficiency. In fact, the whole graphic design based approach stinks. Pretty images that bear no resemblance to real aerodynamics just highlight how F1's owners are entirely clueless.
Ross Brawn should hang his head in shame for taking their milti-million dollar pay packet.
Turbo says "Dumpster sounds so much more classy. It's the diamond of the cesspools."
Very happy to see them capping the wheelbase, current cars are way too long, and 3400mm is even 200mm to Long IMO, but so far those regs looks promising, also with the fuel flow increase to 110kg/h
So, are they going to reduce the weight too?
I don't know about that, but that would be great too, but I doubt it. Just read that the energy store will increase from 4MJ to 5MJ, and deployment will be increased from 120kw to 150kw, so bigger batteries means more weight?
