Childish.. I get down voted because I don't like FE and because I think they, the drivers don't so any exceptional talent.

Then may I suggest that you vacate this thread and leave it for the rest of us who want to enjoy FE. You've made it clear, don't like the concept, you don't like the drivers, you don't like the lack of a V8 noise, you don't like the gear whine, you don't like the circuits, you don't like the stewarding. We get it. We heard you. The repetition is boring and irritating for the rest of us, post elsewhere.

Don't you think I could say the same. I get it you think it's Gods gift to racing so why don't you quit touting how great it is. OH and you might tolerate others with opposing ideas.

No reason to tolerate bad arguments on a technical forum.

I too enjoyed the Paris race. I somewhat enjoy the chaos created by nearly identical packages, all underpowering questionable tyres on narrow road courses. Such coupled with ridiculous Lotterer-esc blocking moves is a recipe for "rubbin' is racin'."

I believe the drivers to be a quality lot, maybe emboldened a bit by the realization that their "lower speed" crashes pose little chance for injury. To put in perspective, place 20 or so Max Ver's in identical performing 2019 William's cars in a Monaco Grand Prix...the debris policing efforts would exhaust teams of marshals.

bad arguments??
I thought we were supposed to be having discussions,, where both sides could express their opinions.

Yes. Bad arguments. You said:

This is hyperbole. Appealing to extremes. No one claimed this. Sloppy reasoning or intention to insult. Bad argument.

Obsessing over aesthetics/styles/fashions: arguably out of place on a purportedly technical forum. Also arguably out of place: repeated updates on hurt feelings and offended sensibilities.

One thing is expresing an opinion, and a different thing is constantly criticizing and mocking about something you don´t like, on a thread dedicated to that series you don´t like. If you don´t like, there´s no way to discuss anything, likings are very personal and nobody will convice you about the contrary so once you did expres it, what´s the point of repeating ad nauseam you don´t like FE?

Because these are NOT opinions aimed for debate Strad, be sincere with yourself please

I see has beens and wanna bes

Maybe you really think you´re being fair and you´re not provoking, but IMHO this kind of replies don´t ask for debate/discussion, they´re trying to mock FE and provoke a reaction on people who enjoy it, and that´s exactly the definition of trolling Strad

Back to the actual topic it's rather sad they are not using the full Monaco track. They make a tighter turn at Turn 1 and rejoin just before turn 12 missing out most of the best bits of the track.

It's the only F1 track on the FE calendar and they wouldn't look daft doing the whole thing. Are they trying to avoid the lap time comparison or has Monaco said no to closing the full circuit

Agag is apparently pretty angry about that decision, he said last year the plan was to use the full layout, but it seems to have been the FIA who blocked the move. The historics who race every other year use the full circuit, so it's not like there is some issue with locals from closing the streets a week or two early of the Grand Prix.

I'm not sure the exact reason the FIA blocked the move, but personally I'm unconvinced that a direct comparison to F1 would be a negative thing. That said, while they miss the casino, Lowes, Mirabeau and the tunnel, having a hairpin at the harbour does at least offer some overtaking opportunities.

Can highly recommend doing a pitwalk if you get a chance to.
I did one at the Berlin ePrix. Interesting stuff to see and the teams are also quite open to answer all kinds of questions and giving away merchandise.

Very sensible to split the rear section of the diffuser with the amount of body contact between these drivers

Di Grassi is playing way too dirty. He pushed Lotterer into Vergne, he did this to Buemi a long time ago too. He won't get a penalty because it was all carnage, but it was disgusting to see it on TV.

It is also ridiculous that there isn't even a yellow flag despite all the debris so near the racing line.

That close by Massa was mental.

Disagree, the cars all stopped around a blind turn, nothing to be done there.

The debris was not on the racing line, but they could have cleared it under the safety car. It was so dusty off line, nobody was driving out there.

On the final lap JEV got desperate, rolled the dice but out-braked himself, driving Massa off the track, then failed to foresee that Massa would get his elbows out in retaliation. He had a net 8th with the Bird penalty and fastest lap, team should have told him to be more circumspect.

To me it looked like he continued to apply throttle even after touching Lotterer, eventually causing him to spin. It was dirty in my opinion. Bird's penalty seems pretty unfair compared to this. Although JEV should have been more careful, Massa knew he would have been there, yet still closed the line pretty rudely. Anyways, that D'Ambrosio pass on the last lap    Amazing.
