MGU-H to Crankshaft electromagnetic coupling

All that has to do with the power train, gearbox, clutch, fuels and lubricants, etc. Generally the mechanical side of Formula One.

What's the point in using MGUH electrical power to create additional boost? The turbo itself is made just for that purpose.
Becuase we want to use that extra boost to cheat with. The engine will consume its usual amount of air. The rest will be diverted to a hidden air motor couple to the crankshaft.

That air motor could be magnetically coupled to the crankshaft if needed too.
"hidden air motor" wouldn't be hidden for long.

The interesting thing about the magnetic field is that it necessarily exists as a basic fundamental of the MGUH whether we are optimising around it or not.

You could tell FIA it is a water pump. Lol.
Tell them its a water pump and its connected to the intercooler and hope they don't trace it back to the compressor.

Could the overboost create enough vacuum to actually pull the piston up when the exhaust valve open?
There are model engines that operate like that, but vacuum is limited in pressure (the maximum vacuum you can get to is 0 bar).
So. The impeller, if over-sped by the mguh, cannot create a deeper vacuum? I mean, they can with roughing pumps for any deep tor vacuum chamber.

What am I missing? Do you mean Absolute Zero Vacuum is the bottom?

Yeah, I am talking about absolute; normal atmospheric pressure is a s midge over 1 bar. 0 bar is a complete vacuum.
In this sense, there's an absolute limit to the force you could put into the cylinder with vacuum.

On a serious note.

The water pump idea is feasible.

We can forget the air motor then and just use an electrical water pump as an "auxilliary" (are electric water pumos allowed?)

The pump shaft would have a hidden magnetic coupling into the engine block and geared to the crank shaft.

This would be similar to a magnetic in-tank mixer that they use in the beverage industry except the magnet coupling drives both the pump rotor and a gear to the crankshaft.

Nope, can't be electrically driven.
5.13.1 All coolant pumps, oil pumps, scavenge pumps, oil/air separators, hydraulic pumps and fuel
pumps delivering more than 10bar must be mechanically driven directly from the engine
and/or MGU‐K with a fixed speed ratio.

When RBR kept burning alternators in the V8 days, I speculated that they were actually using it as a MGU.

Could that still be done today?

how are you going to justify an alternator today ? :))
