My prediction from the head:

Waaaay too close to call at the moment, but I'm guessing it will be either Brazil, Argentina or Spain.

However my guess from the heart is much more clear cut:

Football's Comming Home,
Three Lions on a shirt,
40years of hurt,
never stopped me dreaming!!!

England all the way, RULE BRITANNIA! :D

It's all great stuff, the best in the world playing for the most coveted trophy. There's no sporting event that comes even close.
I can't wait to watch two emotionally opposite teams, the drama queen Italians and the hard-nosed Aussies. Italy appears to have the advantage on paper, but they make a mockery of the game by focusing on drama instead of just playing football.

today we have a great match portugal-holland but we all know which are the favourites. Argentina had many problems to beat mexico, they made a really good job going for the win since 1st minute.

talking about football "songs" we are one of the less original teams, the most popular is: "A por ellos" (go for them). But the funniest maybe is : "alcohol, hemos venido a emborracharnos el resultado nos da igual" (we came here to get drunk, we don't mind de score)

Did anyone see the Mexico Argentina game. Great last goal in extra time. Can't wait to see Argies vs Germany.

Couldn't agree with you more there, and i support italy. bunch of pre-madonnas. It's a constant source of frustration for me, cause i'm thinking if they just settled and played their game they could have a very strong chance of winning it.

Well we're thru to the quater-finals (again) lets see if we can beat the next team (looking like being Portugal now with only 30mins to go). then again portugal only have 10 men.

Hummm....Portugal in the quater finals. No Penalties this time guys....PLEASE!!!

My gut feeling says that England is going to win the world cup this time. I dont know but for some reason I can see it coming! England's been lucky so far. Now Portugal is against England with some of its good players out. Isnt that lucky! Anyway see what happens

I hope England go out soon, then this world cup fever will die down a bit.

I would have loved to see England playing against Mexico or Argentina or Germany  during these rounds. Its sad that Argentina and Germany are going to sort them selves out

Well I don't care who wins just as long as it goes away soon, it affecting my enjoyment of life. Besides doesn't anyone remember we settled the debate of who was the best country at football 4 years ago. Honestly football fans are like goldfish!

Supporting for Italy this afternoon! I hope they win!

Yesterday I saw a part of the match of England....again they weren't playing that good  ! Franck De Bleeckere, the Belgian referee, did well though!

I hope Italy wins today, but it won't be an easy match because Australia is playing well!
