I contend that overtaking was no more frequent in the so called "old days" that it is today or ever, go back and watch old races and you will see. When you have the worlds top class drivers, overtaking is extremely difficult because mistakes are rare. Its easy to look back with rose coloured glasses and think things were once different.
I wish F1 would show some self confidence in its own product and history that alone sells.
sure DRS is gimmicky, but it works to overcome the issues with aerodynamic turbulence, how often do you see a car overtake using DRS that wasn't quicker?

No more like the S-duct already raced last year by Sauber and RedBull.

the sport. it's no longer real a 'battle' on the track the way it should. Apart from the rediculous punishments because of rediculous rules - the simple truth is overtakes and moves that worked in the older days don't work because of the design of the cars [the driver can't judge their car perfectly and can't judge distance perfectly because of the restricted view].
simple as that. that's why the overtakes compared to the 'older days' are so rare and have the need for these artificial 'gimmicks'.
the heart and soul is engineered out aerodynamically by flawed rulemaking and inconsequent desicions of the governing bodies.
The teams invented DRS and it is the teams who refuse to lose downforce. Just sayin.
Correct. Some people need to accept the 80s are over, and they aren't coming back.

Of course they refuse to give up downforce, they never will, that's what regulations are for.

I think its an old Pic. Front Wing seems too narrow and Rear Wing too low.

Apparentely, this picture appeared on RBR's website but with the car almost blacked out, and someone has managed to edit and improve it...

It was obvious it wasn't real stuff, just part of the hype play

Gee, an Audi F1 car. Looks like they need some help with the front wing design though, looks pretty crude. At least they didn't cut the tail off the bull like the first photo shows.
