yup thats knew
I think it reduces the boundary line formation in those edges.....there by reducing Drag
And also reduces the movement in Cross winds also

Actually those grills are not new. They are there since Magny-Cours, I think they added them when they made those aero changes during the silverstone test:

I dont think anybody mentioned it, but the size of the revised sidepod shields on the F2007 is now pretty huge, definitely bigger than before and the shape is a little different too, a bit BMW like:

Do you think they might have problems directing the air to the rear wing or maybe it's supposed to work better with this rear wing configuration? They were obviously having problems with the low downforce configuration in north america, maybe these upgrades are meant to deal with that...

Those grills were there at least since Spain:

Though as you can see, back then that area was painted red, now it's plain black.

We where actually talking about the grils on the T-wing ( chicken wing? )
The grills you are talking about are present there since the start of the season

Nope the grills layout changed a number of times... And I was talking about
those (black) grill in this case.

I though they changed em to coordinate the aero behind the new cut-T-wings and cut-Flaps

The number of "gills" changes accordingly with the aero setup, as well as with the climate where they will be used. Early on during the season we saw a lot more "gills", I believe there was a maximum of fifteen on each side at one point.
I haven't counted the total number of "gills" during the Spa test, but I didn't notice a significant amount of "gills" less than in previous GP's. Why would you have the same/similar cooling configuration in cooler conditions, such as rainy Spa-Franchorchamps, as Spain or similar climate GP's?
And I would imagine that the area surrounding the exhaust tip is left uncolored because the paint would melt, or be damaged by the hot expelled "fumes".
You can also note from the last two photos that the length of the exhaust varies as well
What a beautiful car though!

These links will offer insight into intake and exhaust lengths and should answer your question. Your question may be a little off topic (ie. Ferrari Technical Detail) ... perhaps check the Forum Index for a thread on the subject or introduce a new thread topic. Glad to be of help.
