Hope Marquez wins the title at the next outing, I wouldn't call myself a fan of any driver (though I would love to see Rossi win a championship again) but over the course of the season I think he has been the best.
I feel Lorenzo has ridden much better. It's clear the Honda is the better machine but Lorenzo is just animalistic the way he grabs the lead and won't let go.

Yeh I like Lorenzo, he has a bit of an Alonso in him I think

But is the Honda still the best ? I mean its not like Pedrosa or MM have had it easy this season. Isnt it just now that the two bikes are very good but very good at different things ? Like Honda being able to brake later and in a different fashing and the Yamaha having better traction.

I´d say overall it´s a little bit better and has been better over the season. Very few places has lend themselves perfectly to the Yamaha.
I think in Motegi that if you would have taken lorenzo and put him behind pedrosa he would have no chance of fighting back.
Most of the time the reason he´s ahead is A he´s good on cold tires, B he´s ruining the "pattern" of the Honda drivers inhibiting them from using the bikes full potential because he´s in the way.
Marquez missed apexes and took different lines and he still managed to come right back on Lorenzo´s rear tire, only at the end with visibly shot tires and perhaps a surrender from Marquez did we see Lorenzo having a gap to them.

And I am interested to see how long it takes for Marquez to get his first win (probably not very)

So, any predictions for Qual?
Marquez looks properly quick around here, some corners remind me of Silverstone where they are sliding the rear tire on power.
Lorenzo will probably snatch 2nd around here, possibly 3rd if Pedrosa is on it.

Lol @ Marquez, fighting for the championship and he is taking more risks than ever. Chucking his body at the corner and hoping his bike will follow.

He mentioned that is the plan, commentators said that if he were to take it more easy he would increase the chance of making mistakes so going flat out in a way makes it safer for him.
I can understand him, it´s always when you think "don´t crash, don´t crash, don´t crash" you crash.
Stellar pole lap from him, on the absolute ragged edge all the time

Best pole lap this year also counting in the consequences if he would have crashed

It is certainly up there as the best pole lap, but there have been so many great quali sessions this season that I cannot pick one above the other. Silverstone was pretty spectacular if memory serves.
I can understand why Marquez is going flat out, I think he knows nothing else so don't change. However if he spills it, you know people will say ''he should have played it safe'' and vice versa. I hope he wins the title, I feel he deserved it though I would be happy if Lorenzo won it too.
What are peoples feeling on Rossi's change of management? Does he have anyone else lined up?
Also, the tests for next year begin on Monday, should be interesting though I am lead to believe the bikes will be much the same.

Well its gonna be intresting seeing the times on the Prod Honda bikes and the Yamaha semi prod bike or w/e they are delivering. Would be nice if could have bigger fights next year, if not for wins atleast more ppl for 3rd and down, and this will be extra fun in quali, especially for Q1.
Btw, since i pretty much started watching Moto Gp this year, can someone tell me the different between the satelite teams bikes this year and next years Prod bikes ? And what are the satelite teams actually using this year, in terms of how far behind factory are they and will they still use that or Prod bike next year ?

What an amazing race, F1 take note.
Interesting stat from the bbc commentators. Lorenzo crashed 3 times this year and broke his collar bone twice which massively affected him for a couple of races, whereas Marquez came off 15 times and only dislocated his shoulder once and it didn't seem to affect him.
Marquez a well deserved winner though
