Beautiful as always. I'm a little late, I'll probably introduce the car on Monday. Have you decided on the name yet?

Hi, I have a doubt about the submission (rule 2.1):

Code: Select all

"Directories “frt_suspension” and “rr_suspension” (rule 9.8)."
Do we need to submit also the suspensions (common parts)?

Finally I submitted the car, but with the new upload utility I did not receive the confirmation email.

Great looking simple but an effective car sufacing on the chassis is on point. Scary looking ut :D

No.

I can check if there is a setting that would allow that. If you are very paranoid, just also upload to the backup submission link.

Has there been any adjustment to the file size maximum this year? Given we have a few more parts to submit than last year and a rear wing that is forced into a more complex geometry and therefore a bigger mesh?
It was increased quite a bit last year. What additional parts do you have to submit this year? Keep in mind, you do not have to send the supplied files. In fact, I should write a rule about this.

My 2023 challenger: (Sorry no time for fancy renderings today)
I expect to still be a bit off the leaders but it's definitely a huge step up from where I ended last season.

Cool and simple.

Finally, this is CAEdevice car 2023.

All of them looking great. I hope to share mine tomorrow. Just doing the 5th iteration far from ready :D

Lower front deflectors, rear winglets and a more complex rear wing based on reg changes. It's ok though I can probably work with the limit it'll just mean more decimated parts which is a shame

Interesting...What's going on with the sidepod here? Cooling outlet is where the white stops?

Literally 5th on 2023 (well just legal) chassis and UT and deflectors etc , on the 2023 car my 2022 rules car saw 200 ish iterations but a lot has changed and that car wasnt really legal (since I made it after the season end).Currently fighting with cooling and CoP , I think I will be able show my best first in the second race.

Thanks guys. Yes, the first race will be interesting. My target is to understand how the car responds to the long simulation. The radiator intakes are at stalling risk, and i had to throw away most of the floor development due to a ride-height issue, resorting to an "emergency" floor for the first race.

You somehow managed to keep those sidepods clean, with no gills :o
Nice high downforce rear wing.
The diffuser seems veeery gentle.

Cool. With those sidepods, it's the most daring car so far.

That's a healthy amount of simulations =D>

Yes. By itself it doesn't improve the downforce, but it contributes to have a cleaner flow.

I understand, I can have a look into this after the race. With our new cloud, we are not as restricted anymore with file sizes. On the other hand, I am working on a new super cool rendering of the cars. I am now a bit afraid, that too many triangles might slow that down too much.
