Pre-Spa test sidepod shields are back for the European GP. Wierd

.
Were the "new" shields not necessary/useful here or what?

They could very well be for lower downforce setups only.

The new podvanes made their official debut today. The T-wings are non-slit though.

The slitted sidepod shields have gone a long way since their first test in July at Spa. They are almost totally different, in length, shape and size:

I'm not 100% sure FLC, at frst I agree but after looking closely look at where the pod vanes meet the sidepod (They join to the sidepod right at the right most part of the Shell Logo) The "new" vanes still meet at this point. The curve on the trailing edge doesnt seem to have changed and the top portion seems to be at the same height as the "old" podvanes.
I think maybe the two different camera angles are distorting our view a bit, giving the impression that the podvanes have changed in shape.

But if you look at the podvanes and the mirrors behind them you'll see the difference cloearly enough. The new ones are not as tall as the Spa-testing version, but seem to be longer.

I thought the same thing at first, but the pictures show different.
Here is a better comparison where you'll be able to see the device in relation to the entire car:
The version in use is on top, of course, and the one tested at Spa below. You can now clearly see that the version used at the Spa test is huge. Look how much space there is from the bottom of the shield to the slit, also look at the height of it. It is also more curved towards the rear end.
The new ones remind me of the ones Spyker used, before they took them off.

Usually on the bit torrent networks people put the coverage from speed tv to show f1 races. Well in Practice segment of there coverage for the japanese gp they went on for about 4 or 5 minutes on the purpose of that slit and showed pictures, it was really neat to learn why it is for and such.

Did Kimi and or Massa forget to fold in their mirrors at Casino Square? Hate it when people park so close they snap your mirrors off. Or is that Massa's car after going toe to toe with Kubica?

Do you guys also notice a few differences to the mirror(bulge) in the right side of the pic, and the nose-cone cameras

I don't see any difference in the mirrors. Did you mean to point out the camera bulge on the right mirror?
The new onboard camera housings on the nose cone have been modified before Spa, look
here.

Well there's a pimple on the left mirror. Is that a rear view camera integrated in it or what?

There is indeed a camera in it and here is an image of this camera
