Yes this thread only concerns links posted in the forum.
I have a solution ready, but I wanted to add that it will only work for new posts. Older posts have their BBCode parsed and cached, so those will stay the same (if not being edited).
I guess the voting is pretty clear that it should change. I'll inform you when changes are done and see if you're all happy with it.

From now on all links posted in this forum will open in new tabs/windows.
