So, who 'owns' the Brabham name now? I seem to remember it was Brabham and Ron Taranac (Ralt) who owned it then did it no go to the Canadian (Pure?) guy?
The Brabham family apparently.

Is it just me or does it look similar to the incredible Huayra? Looks amazing, and from the looks of it will go pretty quickly as well

I think with aero development, and unbelievable amounts of CFD computing power, that we may be seeing the convergence of super car body shapes.

Mathematically, there can only be one perfect solution.

True, the limiting factor is quantum level data, though CFD does give a reasonable picture (I am no expert). Same goes in weather forecasting as well.

And anyway, who wants a 'perfect' supercar. I like the flawed ones :)

It's just you, the Brabham has much better proportions and styling. Imo. 8)

Ps I'd say from the front, it's stylistically most like the Ford GT.

Nothing livens up the day more than an unexpected back flip at 170mph!

That said, I think supercars have become too tame and mortal men and lottery winners can drive them.

The problem for me is that it is easy to make a hypercar and float all these pretentious claims. As long as you make the thing rare and expensive enough, nobody is going to take the thing out on track to validate. Just think of it there are scores of 1.5+mEur cars out there which haven't driven faster than 15 km/hr, ever

The Brabham family however has been lobbying quite hard to get the thing out to Le mans 24h. And it seems they will get their wish.

I hope that becomes the standard. Built a hypercar, race it, prove it

.
The Brabham BT62 has been designed and engineered to demand more from its driver. It is a car for those who want to challenge themselves and push themselves to experience driving in its purest form.

True, it does look better than the Huayra and I do hope it does not end up being driven only on the tracks!

That will be amazing, the GTE Pro class? I just read in the newspaper this morning that Fabien Barthez has been racing at Le Mans for the past 3 years

No. There are plans for a GT1 class again - something that I have wanted to see since brought in the LMP cars from 2000 onwards.

Hopefully they don't restrict engines to sizes and cylinders or anything stupid like that.
