OK, I just added a new bin as the first bin was getting fatter, and that deleted past poll results. Sorry about that! Now I know not to do that in the future.
Feel free to vote again.

70s F1 cars were 300kW and around 600kg in qualifying. The FE cars are 250kW and 900kg.
Although the FE have a wider power band I think they’ll struggle to match the 70s F1 performance. Unless of course the tyres are better in which case they’ll be able to make full use of the low speed Tractive effort. They also will gain some time from the lack of gear changes which cost time back in the seventies.
Max torque through most of the power band with electric motors too.

What are the speed trap results for FE? Will they match`70s era F1 top speed at Monaco?
Will the advantage of current tyre/brake technology allow FE to use that max power from stall,
to accelerate/decelerate in slow sections, & overcome the ICE/transmission power-band range?

Aren't they cutting Sainte Devote? So that might knock off a few seconds.
Nope. They used to cut Sainte Devote and run backwards up the harbour front to the chicane (which became a hairpin) this year they're running the full Grand Prix track. Hence the thread
For the historic Grand Prix of Monaco in series F Werner did a pole lap of 1:31.261 in a Lotus 72. Comparing the cars, the Lotus it looked as tough the Lotus has more power and Formula E has more grip.

That should be "Lotus 72" as most of those historic cars really aren't the same spec they raced in 45 years ago.
I'm surprised the laptimes are quite so quick as they are.

Looking at these speeds, I am wondering how this F4 level class can be something that will ever draw many fans in the future, hence the manufacturers going.

Racing and overtakes at Monaco, maybe FE is more interesting than I realised.

Apart from qualifying lap, what was racing pace comparison?
I think that would be the fair comparison. Tire difference is huge, comparing hot laps when one of them use soft tires wich are good just for few laps when the other car is using tires wich must last the whole GP is apples to oranges, but if we compare race pace, even if tires are still completely different, at least both are using the tires to last a more similar mileage so tire influence in the difference is minimized

I thought FE had all weather tires, which they run also in the dry? So apples to oranges still.
