"In the interests of maximising car reliability in high temperatures and humidity usually encountered in Malaysia, the Kers system will not actually use the recovered energy to boost engine power in the usual fashion.
"Instead the teams plan to use Kers as a sophisticated DCA (Driver Cooling Aid).
"Energy recovered under braking is used to drive a refrigeration unit to chill down the cool store.
"This is connected into a special driver suit, so when the driver presses the Kers button cold liquid is circulated around his suit reducing his body temperature.
"Studies have shown that an increase in core body temperature of just one degree can reduce driver performance by as much as 23%."

And one more April Fool's day joke.

No, no, no, the above scenario was actually a pre-condition from Norbert Haug to provide Brawn GP with engines,
"If you have a winner, we play musical-chairs, OK?".
Get it?

Well, actually Mr. Hamilton is a little desperate:
"Lewis Hamilton: I'd listen to rival offers".
Of course, the source is The Sun, as reliable as some of our distinguished members.
BTW, did you know that
Lewis Hamilton's original name was Susbeck?

I wouldn't be so fast rejecting that "musical-chairs" theory, imagine cars entered by Ron-the-con, driven by Hamilton, powered by Mercedes and sponsored ny Johnnie Walker running away with the Championship?
That would certainly upset both MrE's as well as MrM's apple-cart, think about it.

It better flipping be an april fools joke cause i have had it with hamitlon, he is always given what he wants thats why people think he is so good. Several of his wins have been given to him within the last few laps of a race, that is not a true champion to me. he needs to get an ego check and i think his problems at mclaren will do the trick, take away luck and a great car and you are left with a lewis hamilton who is no better than piquet jr
f$%# you lewis

Did anyone else miss this one? Don't mess with the good ol' god-fearin', tobacco-spittin' boys of Nascar, y'all!
All Car and Driver magazine tried to do was drive a little levity into the auto industry bailout with a prank. The serious publication ran a joke story that announced that Obama had ordered Chevrolet and Dodge out of NASCAR if they wanted to keep their federal funds. For a brief web-fueled moment, NASCAR fans had to imagine a future of cheering on Japanese cars. Or worse, French ones. The horror.
Immediately, the Internet went crazy, with searches on "obama nascar" accelerating in Search and zooming across Twitter. Although the story was clearly marked a hoax, Car and Driver eventually pulled the fake story and apologized for going "too far."

I'm not too sure, Lewis loves it there, but if anymore spy-gate or safety-car incidents occur he may well get the hump. Mclaren, for all their worth, don't have a single person there who knows the rules back-to-front like Brawn or Symonds. And that is proving to be a real stumbling block for them.

SM I think that poses a broader question on 'rules' and who knows whats going on - did anyone pick up the fact that Massa hadnt a clue what to do when he came up behind the safety car in Australia with its 'green lights' flashing - even the commentary said the same - the rule is "the F1 Safety Car has both yellow and green lights mounted on its roof in the form of a light bar; the green light allows the driver just behind the SC to pass. Once the race leader is right behind the SC, the yellow lights go on" - it took 10-20 secs for Massa to get the message and proceed past the SC. Just an observation.
