I love that they have put the Kiwi symbol on the steering wheel, keeps that Bruce McLaren connection alive.

i had to have a look at the interior again out of curiosity..
the McLaren symbol kinda looks like a kiwi bird if you squint at it!

I had no idea. I though it's just a mclaren logo, and never realized it's a headless kiwi bent over and with legs chopped off.

Seriously though. There's very little similarity.

I guess I'm missing something here, what's with the engine? A V8 turbo obviously, any detail info on that?

I always thought that the logo represents (don´t know the word) those big textiles used to catch the wind on sailing boats

Apparently bespoke to this car, 3.8 liter, 600bhp...
on a 2900lb car(light by today's standard, Carrera GT is 3000+), this should be very fast....if it can look a bit more exciting....The 458 was going to be fast but this should be faster...

Supercar performance and technology at a comparatively "affordable price", this should be a world beater, me thinks,

Considering you can have five MP4-12C's for the price of one Koenigsegg, yes indeed.

On the other hand the Koenigsegg is five times more useless and frightening. And you need only one to be very dead.
MP4-12C looks like a very efficient and focused car. Many forumers complained about the styling. I think all McLarens look that way (apart from McMerc). Look at their old sportscars. Just like Lolas and others they were designed to go fast, not to look striking.
I don't think McLaren F1 is especially good looking. it's quite generic for a race-derived supercar of the 90-s. It's beautiful because it's iconic not vice versa.
The MP4-12C may become an icon as well. But it would take some wins on the track and some character on the road.
