In this case however the attempt was to insult from an iliterate base, so it was perfectly acceptable to counter the statement.

No it wasn't, this is an engineering discussion.
I pointed out your engineering based mistake, which was valid. I feel sorry for you that you couldnt just accept ypur mistake and had to stoop to name calling. As you said yourself, its shallow.

Auto, with all due respect, I do not believe that you are in any position to lecture anyone on F1T on the use of the English language,
so if you would please refrain from making any such comments futurewise, I believe most of us would be most grateful.

Thank you for contuning to insult me. This discussion is about the Fearrai engine failues, so I am not going to go trawling through the entire fourm to find specific examples and post them here just to please you.
Now can contunine to maintain that what you said was technically correct, and lecture me on english, even though we all know what you ment.
Whats ironic is that if you did know what you were talking about at the time but still posted ''IC car engines have been obsolete since the first electric car'' it would be considered bad english.

I was not lecturing anyone on the use of the English language.
Simply pointing out someones mistake on a technical issue.
I apologise if you felt you had been insulted, perhaps you could also apologise or if not let me know what you mean.

I remember helping to pioneer left foot braking with my semi automatic racing saloons back in the 1970s. In F1 it started with the auto and semi auto layshaft control in 1988/9. Many of the drivers took a long time to adapt and some still move their right foot across rather than use the left on the brake pedal.
Left foot brake right foot throttle is 'much' faster.
It does allow a certain independence but keeping the throttle on under braking puts a lot more wear onto the brakes. Is this what you mean?
autogyro You were trying to pioneer left foot braking in the 70's????
Why, I was left foot braking in the 60's, and it was quite common in automatics in the 50's.

Whatever you guys may think of my post, I am gonna post it anyway!
Since when Martin Whitmarsh took the reins of the team, this team has become much more respectable than the time when that d!ckhead (mods, sorry for the word used) ron dennis was there (I simply hate this guy irrespective of whatever he did for the team). It is more open and friendly in the paddock and only a competitor on track, not off it!
Maybe my observations are wrong, but this is what I see now compared to previous time.

I think you will find if you look at the latest organisational structure for the TAG Mclaren Group, that Ron Dennis effectively retains Executive control of the entire Group as its Chairman. The day-to-day running of the F1 team is in the hands of Martin Whitmarsh, however the organisational excellence of the Group (exquisite attention to detail)
is Ron Dennis!, repeated recently by Whitmarsh as they commemorated the founding of the team by Bruce Mclaren at the MTC.

I am not concerned about the group (to hell with them); what I wrote was only for the F1 team they are running (otherwise they are
cheaters from 2007 having possessed and benefited from Ferrari technical data)

What's the problem with a souf Korean GP? Just cause the amerikans cant hold theirs together nobody else should have one?
It looks like a great track and i hope it goes well without a problem, but I'm sure the amerikans will try to spook their favorite boogieman into some reactionary responce that they will have the media report as aggression.
