Congrats to you guys – an absolutely beautifully put together model. I'd love to see how fast it actually is – it looks like it should go like the proverbial --- off a shovel.

It depends on if Ferrari have a cutout like your floor or not, they could have the wing things leading to the cockpit like yours, but with the cutouts aswell... I'm not sure, the one bit that fascinates me is the sidepods, did you make mock-ups of radiators, I would be interested to see the layout of the radiators and exhaust. Best of luck in the championship,,, although with this car, I doubt you will need it :lol:

I guess we'll wait on Formula Sketch's verdict, and the Ferrari launch to happen. The radiators are placed longitudinally, and exhaust layout too several attempts to get them to work with the narrow sidepods

As long as the floor has the exact same shape and shadows the winglet above it's legal.
The third wing element is illegal, that's the most obvious.
Arguably the second air intake is illegal as if you take a crossection, you will have more than one curve defining the shape of the side pod. It wont be a continuous curve.
The second opening can be legal if it is moved ahead of the volumes that have this regulation, but it's purpose would be defeated.
What i would do is use that huge engine air intake behind the driver and channel some of that air to the radiators.

DRS actuator is within the endplates for this version of the rear wing.


If you read the rules ringo, there is nothing banning the 3rd element on the rear wing.
No point in the sidepods as a cross section there are 2 curves, as 1 stops, the other starts, which makes it legal.

Whilst unsure (Haven't done any work on the car since late November!), I think floor hole rules are opened up at a point 450mm ahead of the back of the cockpit entry template, someone look it up?

I'm not so sure, If the slit by the front edge of the floor was removed the car would be legal, ignoring the rear wing (which is give or take illegal depending on your view of 'rules') for the Formula Sketch Championship its fine, for Formula 1,,, the teams would kick off. None the less great work guys!

But if I remember correctly, 3rd element on rear wing is banned from the beginning of 2004. They were used from all teams in 2003, but no one used it from 2004 onwards.

which is why Honda did this in 2004 to make it legal :)
they then made an agreement to not use Hondas solution to make it legal, but never put it in the rulebook :)

Nice car, very nice indeed! I have a few concerns about some aspects of the design but they have already been voiced here so I'll just say well done and I admire your commitment and bravery in this design =D>

Also why not Sutil or Barrichello as drivers? Kubica is a bit broken and unfit at moment.

Driver contracts were signed months ago. Had no idea Bsrrichello and definitely no idea that Sutil would have a drive. Because it's an online championship though, my Kubica will be in a good condition again :)
