Calm down guys, it's not the end of the world, or of the forum for that matter.

The best thing is simply submit a report, and possibly not comment with a post. It'll get taken care of, maybe not at the snap of your fingers but soon enough.

Update the driver standing's box on the home page to show through 10th place now that points are scored through 10th.

+1 on Ted's idea.


I would absolutely love it if there was a specific post count needed to be able to create threads. As that would eliminate so many useless threads, newbies just registering to use the forum for their projects, advice/suggestions, etc.

The first XX number of posts would be like a drivers learning permit, with the gradual upgrade to a full on drivers licence (ability to create threads).

I think that something that would save some time to the mods and prevent some people getting annoyed is to "program" in some way a system that allows you to create new threads after, lets say 50 replies or 100 views... or both.

Too many newbies starting threads all over the place and mixing everything up.

The downside of it would be that a newbie who has a cleaver point to make/ question to ask (worth a new thread), will be forced to post randomly in several threads to reach the required number.

The proper solution would then be to eliminate the ability of newbies to do anything at all, except PM and vote in polls.

Seriously though, I believe that this idea would outweigh the possibilities of not being able to see a good idea from a newbie or a random post in a thread. This could be written into the forum rules or somehow make it clear to those registering. If a newbie thinks he/she has an idea worthy of a thread they could contact a mod to create it for them, I doubt it would happen all that often as to be a problem.

I tend to agree that too many newbies just put in new threads for stuff we already are discussing, but that's why they are newbies. I believe it's often a question that draws them here, and disallowing any user from posting a question somewhere just doesn't seem right. Well at least that's my personal feeling.

For the third or fourth time:

Please make the "Active forum topics" address available for the jump to button at the bottom of each page. It would make posting so much easier by minimizing page changes. Currently we can only jump to different fora and sub fora but not to the active topics address.

How about, before every race weekend, say on a Wednesday, some senior members of the forums write a paragraph on "What to look for in [enter race location here]". Then we'd aggregate these comments and publish it as an article, or special feature on the site.

I know it's kind of like journalism, but it could be cool. Yes we have threads, but then we'd be going on rambling about each others' opinions. If we have about 5-7 opinions without the garbage talk added to it, it could be neat for new users to read about.

Some may talk about pure racing, some about technical updates on cars that they are looking for, some about anything interesting they're thinking of.

Fair enough to me. After all, its not that they do that 10 times in a row before someone tells them whats wrong
