after few months of writing posts here I've found I could forgot saying "hello" to the people I've joined.

I am formally a mechanical engineer specialized in bio-engineering... at least that's what my master and phd diplomas as saying, however I did not spent too much time working in this area. for the last 10+ years I've been working on:

- endo-prosthesis (artificial knee is a really bad idea guys so try to play football gently)
- cars (if you think about buying A8 from the beginning of the 21st century, please think again ;) )
- jet engines (do you believe today's are superior to the ones designed 30 years ago ? personally I prefer flying old B767 with CF6 under the wings... )
- industrial gas turbines (even in stone age one could find advanced technology... )
- planes (did I mentioned how much I value B767... ?)
- Oil&Gas machinery (people on the oil platforms are really brave. screaming sea is not as dangerous as the tools we are giving them)
- and few others things

for 20 seasons I was quite seriously competing in swimming, pentathlon and triathlon but I did not conquered the world. just few medals on national championships, far below what I wanted. that, to some extension, could explain my admiration for the people reaching the top ;)

what I like in motorsports ? technology. people creating and developing it (standardizations and technology freezing s...cks!) and the ones riding the bull and pushing it to the limit.

what I like here ? people from so many different fields and with so different experiences united by one passion.
and, of course, "Tao of racing" (the latest has nothing in common with one of the moderators of this thread ;) )

ps. seriously, I think Ciro you are one of the most gifted writers I met. keep going, please.

I'm Kristijonas from Lithuania. My diploma says I'm a Medical Doctor, but for the past 8 years I've been in IT industry. Currently Country Manager of one US IT company's rep office in my country.
Never missed F1 race from 1994... Became so exited about F1 that in 1996 went to local TV station (which was to start F1 broadcast in Lithuania) and became a F1 commentator. Still doing it, just different channel - TV3 (Viasat)...
In year 2K established Lithuanian F1 magazine 'F-1 savaite" (F1 Week) and kept publishing it for 2.5 years, Scarbs was contributing with tech articles and drawings (Hi Scarbs!!!)...
Been a reader of this forum for many years. This is my #1 source for F1 tech info. Big thanks and respect to all members here! Cheers.

Welcome,

How about "The Red Team Rules"? It sounds like a good team name right? Especially with your username...

I thought i did this already but it looks like i didn't so:
Hello, my name is Spencer i just graduated out of High School, as i said before got into F1 when they first had it on FOX Sports (which would be 2007) for 4 races because i live in a house that gets the other station (SPEED channel) so i only get to watch 4 races per year (this year maybe none because of the digital switch) but i at least see who finished where Monday. The town i live in is kind of small (as you can see) but its not really one of those hillbilly towns you think of its just like your town only smaller.

Hi everyone. I was sent over here by Richard_Leeds, who suggested I may be interested in a 'BS free' F1 discussion forum.

I've been interested in vehicles and motorsport for over 30-years and am looking forward to reading and contributing (where I can) to the posts here..

Cheers!

Hi, I'm Challengestradale. I come from the U.K. I was attracted to this place the first time I looked around it.

Don't worry there is plenty of BS here, but there are plenty of people who see it and call it out on a regular basis :)

Welcome.

Yes, but what a great huevon you are... ;) Welcome, Rod, nice to have you around. I join Belllati and the rest of the "semantic analysis" gang in welcoming you.

It used to be BS free until Richard became a member... (just another joke, just a joke).

Thanks, noname. May I suggest to read really good writers? What about Stanislaw Lem?
jezzicaz789 wrote:Hi all, I am a new member of forum. Would a newcomer be warmly welcome here? Good day you guys!!!
Welcome, jezzicaz789, warmly. Newcomers are received with open arms. It's the oldies like me the ones that are not always warmly welcomed...

he is great but I am too curious to limit myself to just one writer.

and, unfortunately, he will not write anything new.

apart from this I like to met people having something interesting to say. it's even better if I can talk with them :)
