SUZUKI 1975 (almost 40 years ago) and the 1975 "MOTO GP" grid. "MOTO GP" meaning 500 ccm, 2-stroke at the time.

Suzuki was all 2-stroke at that time, inc' cars & 4WDs!

MV Augusta was still running 4-strokes however..
& Ago won the 500 G.P. Championship in `75 again, but this time it was a 1st for Yamaha & 2-strokes..

P.Is. Moto G.P.,
- Marky streaked away to a 4 sec lead, while Pedro was a back in 9th..
Pedro retired after being clipped by a Ducati,
& Marky had it in the bag, then dropped it at Lukey Heights..

Rossi & Lorenzo had a bit of dice for 2nd, & then 1st, 'til Lorenzo had a moment,
& lost 2nd to Cal on the Ducati ( who was clocked at 337km/h), - until he dropped it,
- on the last lap..

Rossi managed to keep it rubber-side down & took the win from Lorenzo..
Earning himself some well earned bulk pashing from his missus in victory lane..

What a crazy race, can´t remind any other race like this on dry tarmac

Marquez crashed with an "easy" win in the pocket (he said it was the result of no pressure at all, he was trying new things)

Crutchlow crashed on final lap while he was second and was riding alone (can´t explain this one)

Pol Espargaro crashed when he was doing a great race and was fighting for 4th

Aleix Espargaro was hitted and had to retire with another great race

Pedrosa was also hitted and had to retire too (not a great race this time)

Finally only 14 drivers finished the race :o

I should've phrased it better. You don't 'drive' a motorcycle :D I'm thinking maybe in Spanish there is no distinction between drive/ride ? Then again it'd be very weird for a nation going crazy about bikes...

OTOH, i count my self a 'biker' riding a shitty cbr 125 lol, especially after seeing your pics. IIRC, you posted them before as well. You must be one hell of a rider :) 10 years racing motoX, wow - you must've had a sh!t ton of fun and got a few stories to tell eh ? It's my dream to own both a track and an off road bike after i get my first job lol.

edit: sorry for hijacking the thread...

driving a motocycle would technically mean you are the engine of the motocycle. This monster comes to mind then:

"Needs must - when the Devil drives."
&,
"One drives a donkey, one rides a thoroughbred."

Or something along those lines..

Actually yes, there´s a distinction drive=conducir ride=montar, but we use both. But in these cases we say pilot=pilotar instead of drive/ride. When it´s your car/bike and you´re moving from A to B, we say drive or ride. When it´s on a track and you´re racing, we say pilot both for cars and bikes

PS: I had to read my message three times to notice the mistake, I was searching ´drive´ all around, couldn´t find it and was wondering what were you talking about  , third time I realiced my mistake was ´drivers´

Thanks :D

PS2: not that good, amateur level, but pics have the virtue to show only an instant

For example, if showing this it looks nice

But reality is this

Yeah, but can you really ride?
Or are you just being push/pulled about by the drive..

Will Dani get his mojo back, or has Honda had enough of his inconsistency..
I guess we'll see.. ..if he finishes the season behind two Yamahas..

I can't believe Crutchlow in that race, I had no words other than profanities - unbelievable.

Stoner is testing sometime soon, people are talking about it more than just having a test, but rather seeing if he is competitive.

Dani is super fast, but all the pundits point the same problem, his weight.

The weight between his ears?
Dani's problem is - clearly - a mental issue.. ..he's too brittle..

He is capable of beating the best - when everything clicks.. ..but far too often - it does not..

& there were too many strange 'unforced error'-type offs in that last race.. ..what does the telemetry reveal?

I think Dani didn't get on win the tires at all this year. He was a lot closer to M&M in 2013. Cal threw it away real nice. He is a damn fast rider but unfortunately well known for chucking it down the road far too often...Even before his Ducati days and as far back as the BSB. Well... At least Rossi used to say if you're fast but crash, you can learn not to crash. Better than being slow and still crashing lol. Which he referred to as "being in the sh!t".

Or being on a Ducati & being too slow.. & Rossi - "for sure"- knows how that feels..
