Are they not mandatory? Why else would the Audi have them in a useless place?
they were testing the car a few weeks back at Calabogie Motorsports Park near Ottawa, they had the track to themselves so there was no real need for them. I would think that they just haven't finished them yet or the car looked better without them for photos
The new HPD coupe mounted mirrors inside the cockpit, maybe Audi did the same.

Both Toyotas already 1 lap behind. It's a dead heat between Porsche & Audi atm.

@Pierce89: Audi mirrors are integrated into the trailing edge of the front fenders.

They're on the lead lap.

Yes they are. I'm sure I saw the ticker indicating they were +1 lap just before the yellow. Hmmm...

It's nice to see them jockeying for position so early on. Looks like the Audis are doing a little better with tire wear compared to Porsche.

Getting interesting now. Audi quadruple stinting, while Porsche changing tires, but are able to run a bit longer in the stint.

Audi back in the pits for tire change after three laps into the stint.

EDIT: N°7 had a slow puncture.

The Porsche's can go 1 lap longer but the Audi tyre deg is very impressive, as well as their race pace.

Amazing not more damage done on the #8 Audi.. Can't believe it was just a quick nose change and some rear wing work. Hats off to the crew!

After 16 years of LM they know how it all works.

What was the reason for the two GT cars going so slow, was the slow zone still in affect? Judging by how all the cars where driving behind it seems like it wasn't. To me it seems like the leading GT car in that pack was confused and slowed down for slow zone that wasn't there.
