Strad you are awesome, can-am is my favourite of all time. Truly an era of invention rather then following closeknit rules like F1 these days.

Well I was too young for the original Can-Am. Can-Am II (reborn F5000) wasn't like the original even if it worked at the beginning (1977-1980) with a number of European drivers crossing the Pond.
But there was a serie "Bigger Than Thunder" in North America in the early 1980s till 1993.

Perhaps the most bizarre of all CanAm cars, imagine Gerorge Follmer driving it?

What were they thinking?

The last four races of the series SCCA Can-Am 1981 are shown : Mosport II (briefly), Riverside, Laguna Seca, Las Vegas Caesar's Palace.
Racing action is good, and the announcer is well-heard. The interviews and close-ups during the racing action are good. The interviews are done by a flirty red-headed gal and Stirling Moss. A 3-4 minute "show the babes" session is included but the rest is good racing action - lots of shots of Paul Newman, including his getting to drive a prototype around Laguna Seca.
The Danny Tipper interview about the correct use of seat belts is a must see...

Hey Strad,
I was wondering if you could post Circuit again? I'd love to get a look at it!

Hi strad,
Have viewed some of your vast library before, mainly early F1 races. And what an education it was to me.
Thank you for sharing. I too, would like to see the Can Am films that you had up before on this thread.
