Man, I am so happy for you, excellent news and thanks for the update
Now go and get yourself some time in karts and have someone take you to the Silverstone Race School so that you are ready if there is ever the slightest chance to drive one of these babies, even if its only installation laps it would be mega cool.
I only raced formula ford and had a morning testing FF2000 and that was fantastic - OMG that was 15 years ago

Can only dream what it is like to be around these fantastic machines
Keep up the good work Scuderia_Russ, but also the updates
Cheers

Not only Graham Hill. The racer king of engineering must be Mr. Rudolf Uhlenhaut. You can read about him at
Dennis David wonderful site on GP history.
Mr. Uhlenhaut testing the Mercedes W25, rated at 450 HP, too "soft" for his taste. He developed the modern configuration of superchargers after his first testings and gave to the world the W125, with a more "hard" 650 HP engine.

I confess I love to drive loaders, bulldozers and motor graders!

This is a privilege of the top engineer that nobody can take away.

MC, I work in the road industry. We have mines: we call them quarries. Motor graders and loaders (and the first diesel bulldozers) were developed for road construction, believe it or not. They, later, were used in mines.
Anyway, I was just making the point that Russ, once he works for five or ten years, can handle the machinery he is working with, and leave the garage for a ride once in a while. This is the best part of his work.
It is also the one of the best parts of my work: I have driven many times a Caterpillar like this one, and rode (not driven) a lot in a mining truck. You have to feel it to understand, I think. They may be not as fast as Russ's cars, but they are as powerful and beautiful.

Manchild, some people drive HumVees or large trucks. Is that yellow truck Ciro's personal transportation?
Scuderia, hmm, Adrian Newey lives the good life, and I remember watching him throw a GT40 around the track at a vintage race.

then you might be sad to hear he destroyed the GT40 at the classic Le Mans race earlier this year

I think in the last month he smashed that GT40 at a race sad to say

How's it going for you Russ?
I went to Brunel Uni for an open day on Monday for the Motorsport Engineering course, its a huge place and the people there were very friendly, they showed me the Formula Student cars and other machines they'd built, it was great but I need higher grades than I thought.
I'm hoping to see Swansea at some time, but I'm off to Ulster first so Ciao.

Good thanks mate. Working for Adrian Coles 2.0ltr Formula Renault team this weekend as they support the B.T.C.C. for the last race of the season.
Will try and get lots of pictures.
Whay do you want to do at Uni, learn to engineer drivers?

Great stuff Russ. Well done mate.
It's great to hear about one of the members of this little community doing the business in the racing world. Keep at it and the only way is up!
There is nothing like seeing something you have a big involvement in winning a race. Even more so when it's on TV!
As a matter of fact, my wife and I have just bought a house in Market Harborough which isn't far from Kettering. I guess you are in the ideal place there, between Corby (Rockingham) and Silverstone (albeit closer to Corby).
Will you also be going to Rockingham with testing etc?
I'm hoping to go at some point seeing as it is so near.
