BMW didn't deserve that crash but the track is a constant traffic jam with sso many cars with such different performance.

Can teams do a pitstop with red flags?

So those who didn't make it to the pit stop after the restart will lose their positions to those who did?

Most of hypercars need a pitstop and were about to pit anyway. There are questions now around whether they have enough fuel or energy to stay behind the SC while pit is closed. Then everyone will stop.
Iron Dames in GT3 has a good chance to win.
They also just said you are allowed to change tires now due to potential for flat tires due to debris.

I mean I saw the 35 Apline and 12 Porsche pull into pit right before the reds, sound like they will be in the lead after restart, when everyone else is going to go change their tires.

Pit lane should open before the SC ends so even if they are ahead, they will be passed by faster cars.

Cracking race today. Good to see a small attendance here.

Starting to doubt they restart. SC procedure will take 15 minutes easily. They don’t look like they’ll be ready in 30.

A sinful result to finish like this dialtone
Porsche has been pillaged in the manufacturers championship.

It will be an interesting sprint ! Even if they still have to pit while the #6 & #12 Porsche have refueled, I think Ferrari will win they're just too fast around here

So... I missed the restart and I see that the 6 and 12 are a minute ahead... I feel fairly disappointed at how this unfolded and think F1 has the right setup with ability to run a pitstop and change everything you need during red flag.
There's nothing fair or right in eliminating the gaps but keeping the pit situation unchanged. At minimum you need to let enough time for everyone to pit under SC when you restart from it.
