I understand you man, it´s difficult for someone that has being there for 20 years, seeing this crap that makes you loose grip

But please, if you do it, do it right.
Do not play the "Maradona" comeback (he retired from football 100 times I think)

At least know this before you go completely:

Manchild, without F1 you will be only "Man".

Judging from scarbs' comments (and I trust that all of us can agree that is a reliable source in this forum), McLaren is not as "up-standing" and "dignified" as Ron Dennis makes it out to be, which doesn't surprise me personally.

In other words, don't be such a Drama Queen. Besides, if you've been that obessed with F1 for 20 years I very much doubt you can just stop. Stop kidding yourself.
The trouble is D, Manchild made his mind up a long time a go and is simply too far gone to see any sort of sense or reasoning that is put in front of him. The easy option is to blame Max Mosely / Ferrari / Bernie / Schuey / Todt etc. (delete where applicable)

I haven't posted on the forum for a long time, but make no mistake I visit the forum often when I find some 2 minutes spare during my studies. One of the reasons I visited is to read opinions of people like Ciro, Carlos, Manchild, Pro and all other 'seniors'.
Now I can understand what you are feeling, of all teams!, McLaren were found cheating certainly brought it home the level of bullshit flying around and I won't be surprised if some other worms come out soon, like what happened in Serie A and Calciopoli. I'm sure that 50 years of F1 won't go down the drains and ultimately the real values will shine on and we will have 'our' F1 back. Sure, it won't be sudden but with everyone's effort I believe that finally the light at the end of the tunnel isn't far away.
And when that happens, i'm sure F1T will welcome you back with open arms, if you leave that is! :)

This isn't a reply to zenvision's post...

Please everybody - forget about me, forget sending PM, forget replies that concern me. Those who want can send me emails anytime but when it matters this and any other forum it is OVER!

I've tried today to clarify some things here but the amount of ignorance and partiality of some people just reassured me that I'm just wasting my time. Bunch of fake truth seekers who show their real hypocrite face as soon as their team is in question.

I have to say that you came to clarify at the wrong time

There are many biased posts, some of them are simply inflamatory. Including yours. Some ppl ned to cool down and watch some racing, even if it's 11 half-legal teams racing :)

Sheesh, from being a dignified situation, this place has now taken on the appearance of a place where the Parsis lay their dead. Welcome to the Tower of Silence.

We didn't share a lot of opinions MC, I can't think of any actually 8) Ferrari; NO, millionaires; NO, haha. But you did get threads going with strong opinions, upsetting others and as a consequence they started replying.

Good luck with wherever you will go, you do sound like you're going to commit suicide though.

All right, I'm a misguided liar, like anybody and I'm not ashamed of that, because I've made beautiful and inspiring lies... :) However, I think that when things are worse you have to show your better side. I paraphrase Moby Dick's Stubb: I don't know what will come to me, but I will go towards it, smiling.

Well I'm back from Spa and apparently a lot has gone through my fingers since then.

I would just like to add that F1technical will be here for all Formula One fans out there. No matter what. As much as I like all of you, if you don't like F1 for any reason, then you are not in the right place.

I was at Spa as I said, and the cheers I noticed for Alonso or any other driver make me feel that Formula One is all worth our efforts.

(Hangs head in disbelief and lets out a big sigh, raises head towards the screen and types....)

Dear Manchild,

I am not the regular here I once was, (life the universe, getting married, bringing up the next generation and everything else keep me very busy these days) but I always look forward to catching up on a few forum threads every now and again and to catch up with the thoughts of some of the good old boys on this forum.

Manchild you are of course one of those good old boys and I for one understand and respect your feelings on this one. F1 has gained much this year with the arrival of a certain Mr Lewis Hamilton but has lost much much more as a sport as a result of, to a lesser extent big business, but mostly to a regulator that refuses to listen to the fans and is at best belligerent and inconsistent and at worse...... well that is for debate else where on the forum.

Manchild, thank you for the time and effort you have put into this forum over the years and for my Avitar. Good luck in the future in whatever fields of interest and life you choose to explore.

Cheers

Nick

This is an old thread, but what the.... thanks, crbassasin, for raising the issue.

I'm sure Manchild will be back if he has half the affection for us that I have for him. I bet on that, no sighs from me, I am a big kid already and I don't cry (well, not that often: I haven't cried today ;)). I only expect him to come back to argue as friends till he sighs at his keyboard... :)
