Hypothecically, isn't this pretty much the situation many of us WISH was happening in Formula One? :?:

I hate the triple safety car rule, well I hate how it breaks up the field arbitrarily. Bob Varsha had a good idea about a safe solution earlier. Speed up the 2nd/3rd safety cars to catch up to the 1st safety car (heck the speed of the 1st safety car could even be reduced a little to help 2/3 catch up). It should be easy to accomplish that on the lap before going green. This way it can be settled on the track instead of down to luck.

Also the slow zones should be maintained for an entire lap(s). With the accuracy of the scoring now the officials could easily make sure everyone is equally affected by the slow zone.

Just some observations.

So, in case people were sill curious about Toyota's straight line speed, it's not just because of the powertrain. See here for details.

tl;dr, they have a silly amount of rear wing flex.

So we're now into the 14th hour, would it be premature to ask for a moment of silence for Toyota #7?

EDIT: Confirmed #7 is out due to electrical problems.

As Toyota #8 is back in 5th place 11 laps down, looks like this will be a 2 horse race from here on out. Well, sort of; the 2nd place Porsche is 3 laps down.
