Puhh, more and more questions.

Your main issue is power. There are reasons you made a mistake. You can send me the report from your own simulation from the car you submitted and I can explain, then if you do not mind. I want to do that anyways, but it will have to wait until tomorrow, as I am very busy. The page has been updated though.
I should be able to send out all reports either today or tomorrow morning.
I have the report ready but can't find your dropbox link in my inbox, can you send a request?
TKS
Please, just use the one for the Monaco race for now.

Sent. You got what I said, that with the gurneys in the high res dir (or the updated gurneys I did later) I get 100% power and a CL of 6.6, right?

Would anyone else be willing to test the suspension geometry in the vehicle_body folder and also in the High_res folder?? for me the simulation with it in the high_res folder always fails.
I have the simulation but have got no figures from it. This has happened in both of the simulations I have run since changing to blueCFD.

There is no 'num_cfd_results' in the post-processing folder of either simulation.
looks like you may need to updates to the 2017-6 version. I had the same issues on the 2017-5 version.

Didn't realise there was another version. Will sort that.

That works. Will post findings later.

Processing in linux and doing post in windows give no CL, CD data.
Tried MVRC versions 2017.5 and 2017.6

PS: is the current linux version doing offscreen processing? EDIT: It doesn't, I've tried.

Thanks for sharing! You were very conservative with wings I can see. You could have taken more advantage of the surface at the front of the wheel farings by placing some winglets or proper wings there. Also your rear wing flap looks like it could work harder!

That's the intro car with pretty much default settings in the CAESES Geometry Generator for wings and floor.
For the first race I had a slightly different setup, I had diveplanes in the front of the wheel fairings to balance the car which in my simulations brought the CoP forward 15cm or so.

How easy is the CAESES geometry generator to use?

It's just sliders that change various parameters of the front wing, rear wing, floor and diffuser. Then you download the stl files for each part and away you go, add them to the intro class stl files and you can have a simulation running inside 5mins.
Definitely have a play with it.

Your results are interesting. for a complete know nothing about CFD and aerodynamics it looks like with the finer mesh on the suspension geometry there is less restriction behind the cooling outlets, letting more air out and increasing the flow through the HX. does this sound plausible?
Me personally I would be interested in how the airflow is affected for cars where the front suspension geometry is not covered will a finer mesh around the uncovered suspension allow more flow into the cooling ducts at the front of the car?

I am encountering an issue with blueCFD with an adapted version of my Monaco car. I think it has to do with meshing but I'm not sure. If I upload it to the Monaco Dropbox submission link please can you have a look at it in your spare time?
Many thanks

Yes, I am fine, just very overworked. I know I owe a few support question answers and your reports....
I should be able to get to the reports today (hopefully...)
