i can quite believe the cars will be 5 secs slower. Everything in 2014 is reducing the speed of the cars

slower engine
smaller and restricted front wings
smaller rear wings
no beam wing
lower noses
no barge boards
no turning vanes

looking rather dull 2014 onwards. They should have tried to balance it out a bit more, allow venturi tunnels or something (gain more downforce from the floor)

I know people keep saying that the engineers will claw back any deficit in quick time - but how much can you actually take? I mean, the closer to the perfect design you get - then diminishing returns kick in

well whenever a team comes up with something that really claws back the time it gets banned

at this rate there isn't going to be much difference between F1 and GP2

F1 cars from 2004 were the fastest and they also havent had any front wings, beam wings,...Well they had a lot more power :DImage

I seem to remember LdM bemoaning the tyre war although he was happy enough for Bridgestone to supply bespoke tyres for Schuie's titles. Hypocrite, LdM.

One exhaust is out of the turbo, the other out the wastegate.

ye i know, its a pre-interpretation of the changes. Put in indycar 2012 in google images and see how many come up just like that

Many cars have ran long wastegate pipes. My guess is they wont run divorced downpipes, theyll merge after a certain distance
