[quote="meves"]...SAAB used to be a cool brand back in the day and the design of the new SAAB concepts are actually quite good looking.

That's a beautiful & cool looking concept car!

Ooooo! Someone on Atlas reminded me of this - possibly the world's only front wheel drive open wheeler.

No...seriously!

This is just the kind of, uh, forward thinking we need in F1!

No 2 stroke GDI engines are what is right for F1 :twisted:

MrE interviewed in a Swedish tabloid yesterday:

"Why I'm coming back as a team-owner? Simply because I miss the racing part of my life so badly, I've been miserable eve since selling-off Brabham. Making a ----load of money has been a good substitute, but there's no buzz like racing, just ask Michael Schumacher."

My translation from a Swedish tabloid, some more came today;

"I confess to have looked at other prospects, even going alone last summer, but this came together just right, one manufacturer leaving F1 and another entering, the latter with a great motorsport pedigree. My generation has a lot of heart for the Saabs winning the RAC rally, with Stirling Moss' brother-in-law actually, while the manufacturer has been at the forefront of green engine-technology with the Bio-fuel concept, which is just what the doctor's ordered for F1."

Looks like Bernie writes exclusive stuff for a rare Swedish tabloid whenever he has a free minute :)

It was reported in Sweden's most credible tabloid called "Grönköpings Veckoblad".

You are joking right? [-X For those who don't know what Grönköpings Veckoblad is I'll tell you, it is a humor magazine with nothing credible in it

I could find only one comment from Bernie, in "Dagens industri" which would translate to "todays industry". He says that Saab is a good brand which got ruined by its owner, that's it.

Anyway I think Saab is done now, it's too late. GM is already moving the tools needed for production of the new 9-5, apparently they are going to be used to build Buicks in China. I don't know why but I have a strange feeling that they don't want to sale Saab for some reason :(
