Revised nose, probably going to be Australian GP spec.

My tips for you:

1/Draw things out before you make them. Initially onto paper. Make these drawings scaled and 2D. Then transfer these drawings into your CAD program. Have these drawings in both side and top view. Draw parts individually, but keep in mind the design as a whole. Make sure you are fully aware of regulations regarding a part before you start drawing.

2/'Box out' the regulations in your CAD program. This will help you come to modelling the parts.

3/Make sure your car 'makes sense'. I can see on yours the splitter doesnt join the sidepod. Look at many images of F1 cars to understand how the different parts join together to form a complete car.

4/Take your time, don't rush.

5/Work around a concept. Design your whole car around a principle, and work to achieve an aim.

6/Use mathematics to aid you. I see you're using sketchup. These two plugins should help a lot.

Listen to this guy ^ you need to make the whole car work together rather than sticking parts on, like my car was all designed together to work together my wheels are rubbish as I quickly rushed them on

Oh I will be
This seasons car was a rushed effort to meet the start of the season.
By next season I intend to have a much better knowledge of the software and hope to produce a better car.

Formula Sketch admins said it appeared you need a bit of a revamp for your 2012 season. This is what I've come up with.

I can tell you the head protection is illegal

I moved the driver forward slightly and then didnt adjust the head protection accordingly

I asked the admins how you get your car to feature in race shots and they asked for a mock up and said they would produce the rest. I sent them bits and pieces and a design brief and that is nothing like it...I assume it either didnt get passed on to you or you carried on with your belief that the car should have a very red scheme.
Black for White and White for Gold would be better.
These pics look like Codemasters games, I assume they are, especially as the Formula Sketch trailer features a lot of it.

Yeah after discussion with admins and sponsors, this was best for everyone, and very aesthetically pleasing in comparison to the design ideas originally put out. This design actually uses the colours of the sponsors, so makes sense. At the end of the day, the championship go all out on making the cars look good, because they don't want a grid full of ugly cars.

You say that the design uses the sponsor colours, well so did my proposal. Sponsors havent negotiated a set colour scheme with the team as I didnt want that.
The gold I wanted was from the gold Emirates logo who are the title sponsor.
