Do you happen to have a photo comparison between the R28's old sidepods, and the new ones? Japan was the first race for the change I believe.

lol, or im getting blind or you look to much at the f1's technical section. I didnt see any difference to the pods

lol, or im getting blind or you look to much at the f1's technical section. I didnt see any difference to the pods
Formula1.com had it in the tech section, and the interview with Bob Bell also talks a bit about it I believe.

It seems as if it is a significant difference according to him, so I was interested in seeing a comparison, and Bar555 sets the standard for photo comparisons.

I wouldn't even know where to begin to look for the pictures to do this.

Formula1.com isnt really trustable, they say that the difference is at the front of the side pod wich is smaller, i looked at pics from japan and earlier races but i wasnt able to spot the difference.

Also f1.com came with a few inventions like 5 races later, like mclarens sidepod shield wich were allready for 6 races on when it was posted...

Also i dont expect this change at the end of the season when a really big rule change is going on

Has anybody noticed that during a Renault pit stop in the recent races, the guy who jacks up the front of Reneault car really seems to put an awful lot of effort in doing so.

Does the front-end weighs more than back-end/engine/transmission itself? Can they put so much weight into the nose? Or its only my illusion, or maybe the guy needs to work out more often.

I think every team tries to put all the ballast in the front of the car to get the tires to work better.

I think F1.com is wrong , narrower sidepod inlets were not used in Japanese GP . Renault 28 might have tested narrower inlets during previous tests but i need to get better images to verify or reject it .
